VIBE in the Borders: Meet the Musicians Workshop with Scottish Chamber Orchestra

Are you aged over 11 and living in the Borders? Interested in making your own music?

Join Scottish Chamber Orchestra for a fun, free and friendly workshop with SCO musicians at Hawick Town Hall on 28 June.

Book your place here, or email connect@sco.org.uk to register your interest and find out more. No experience necessary – just bring your ideas and enthusiasm!’

This is an informal, fun and friendly workshop which includes a samba percussion session. It is aimed at young people, aged over 11 years-old who are interested in music – no experience necessary, and no need to read sheet music. During the workshop, SCO musicians will:

– Introduce you to their instruments and what they can do
– Support you in exploring different instruments
– Lead a fun, creative music-making session focused on rhythm and percussion

There is also the opportunity to attend a working rehearsal and to learn more about SCO’s ‘VIBE in the Borders’ programme which aims to bring young people from across the Borders together to explore their creativity and create music together with the support of a range of artists from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

“IT’S A REALLY FUN AND EXCITING WAY TO EXPRESS YOURSELF”
