Applications are now being accepted for Edinburgh’s long-established Holiday Hub programme, which supports children and young people with disabilities and additional support needs.
Organised by the City of Edinburgh Council, the initiative offers school holiday activities for those who may not be able to take part in mainstream programmes because of the level of support they require.
Families can now apply for places for the upcoming academic year, with applications remaining open until June 3, 2026. The hubs are operated by activity providers working in partnership with the council and aim to create a welcoming, inclusive setting where children can enjoy activities, make friends and socialise safely.
Following discussions with parents and carers through a dedicated steering group, the council has introduced updated eligibility criteria for this year’s programme.
According to the council, the revised criteria are designed to improve fairness and provide greater transparency during the application and allocation process.
The Holiday Hub scheme has been running in Edinburgh for over two decades and takes place during the October, February, Easter and Summer school holidays.
Sessions are held Monday to Thursday, from 9am until 3pm, across 10 weeks of the academic year.
Full eligibility guidance and application details are available through the City of Edinburgh Council website.
