Tapestry, a vibrant and moving celebration marking the culmination of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra’s five-year residency in Craigmillar.

This special event honours the creativity, heritage, and collaborative spirit of the Craigmillar community. At its heart is a powerful 25-minute through-composed work curated by SCO Associate Composer Jay Capperauld, seamlessly blending iconic local songs with brand-new compositions created in partnership with the community.

Performances will feature:

  • The SCO Seen and Heard Ensemble
  • The SCO Craigmillar Voices group
  • And evocative visual projections by Karolina Glusiec, combining archival film and images with fresh creative responses

🎨 Tapestry weaves together the stories, memories, and artistic expression of Craigmillar — brought vividly to life through music, visuals, and community voices.
