A festive favourite among schools, the Winter Windows Art Competition returns for 2025! This year, 24 winning designs will be transformed into magical illuminated light boxes, displayed throughout West Princes Street Gardens as part of Edinburgh’s Christmas celebrations.
The challenge: design a “window” that captures your pupils’ vision of winter and the festive season. Entries should be bright, bold, and created on A4 portrait paper. Each school may submit up to five entries.
To take part, email communities@unique-assembly.co.uk to receive a submission link and form. Applications close at 17:00 on Monday 10 November 2025. Winning pupils will be invited to a special ceremony to receive their certificate and prize, and to see their artwork on public display!
