Go Beyond the Classroom with Glasgow Science Centre

This school year, Glasgow Science Centre invites you to Go Beyond the Classroom with a dynamic STEM education offer designed to spark curiosity and inspire learners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Whether you’re teaching P1 or S6, our programmes blend hands-on experiences, spectacular shows, and rich classroom resources to support your STEM teaching. From immersive day visits to extended learning journeys, we’re here to help you bring science to life.

Learning Lab is our flagship STEM programme, combining in-classroom resources—worksheets, lesson plans, videos, and CLPL—with a visit to Glasgow Science Centre. Available for P1–S2, topics include Space, Renewable Energy, the Human Body, and Photonics. Free places are available.

Take your pupils on a cosmic adventure in our state-of-the-art Planetarium, where our Astronomy experts guide learners through the Solar System and beyond. Or explore the wonders of our planet in 3D at the IMAX cinema—from ocean currents and bird migrations to the hidden world of fungi.

For older pupils, our STEM Futures programme offers hands-on workshops for S3–S6, helping learners build skills and explore exciting STEM career pathways. Free places are available.

Can’t make it to us? Our On Tour team brings STEM straight to your classroom with interactive workshops and shows—perfect for Science Week or to enrich your term plans.

And don’t miss Curious About, our free online STEM festival running three times a year. Experts beam into your classroom to share cutting-edge science and answer pupils’ questions. The next live sessions take place on 3–4 November 2025.

Whether you’re planning a Day Visit, looking for classroom support, or exploring career inspiration for your pupils, Glasgow Science Centre is ready to help you go beyond the classroom.
