Discover Scotland’s industrial past with an unforgettable learning experience at the National Mining Museum Scotland.

National Mining Museum Scotland School Programme | Immersive History & STEM Learning

Our dynamic school programme brings history to life through immersive workshops, guided tours, and hands-on activities tailored to Curriculum for Excellence outcomes.

Set at the historic Lady Victoria Colliery, pupils explore real mining objects, hear powerful stories, learn about our energy journey, and gain insight into STEM, social history, and much more! From early to secondary levels, sessions are engaging, inclusive, and designed to inspire curiosity and critical thinking beyond the classroom. We are an accredited Autism Friendly museum too!

To make visits even more accessible, we’re offering 25% off school programme bookings when teachers quote “Scotland4Kids” at the time of booking.

Plan a visit that your pupils will remember long after the lesson ends. Learn more about our programmes, facilities, and teacher resources at https://www.nationalminingmuseum.com.
