respectme launch new films and learning resources for Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 will take place from Monday 10 – Friday 14 November 2025 with the theme of ‘Bullying – The Power of One’

respectme, Scotland’s Anti-Bullying Service, is calling on teaching professionals to take action this Anti-Bullying Week to help raise awareness of ‘Bullying – The Power of One’ and galvanise children and young people to become anti-bullying activists.

The service will launch five new powerful anti-bullying films and supporting learning resources for Primary and Secondary age groups on 22 October, to explore bullying and its ripple effect for Anti-Bullying Week.

Lorraine Glass, Service Director of respectme, commented: “Data shows that over 30% of children between P5-S2 experience bullying which can strip away their feeling of control and power over their own lives. This is key to good mental health and wellbeing.

“This year we are thrilled to launch five new original anti-bullying films, featuring young actors from St Andrew’s RC Secondary School from Glasgow, with supporting learning resources for children and young people to explore bullying and power.

“We know that bullying can leave young people feeling powerless. But bullying will stop – it won’t be forever. It takes the power of everyone to create safe, happy, inclusive, and supportive environments where children and young people can thrive.

Teachers can get involved with ‘Bullying – The Power of One’ by visiting www.respectme.org.uk/campaigns, registering for an account, or by logging into an existing account, to access their Anti-Bullying Week 2025 resources (films, learning resources, worksheets and templates) from Wednesday 22 October 2025.
