Yoto Launches New Toy Story 5 Audio Card for Screen-Free Family Fun

Woody, Buzz and Jessie are back – but this time they’re taking on one of the biggest challenges facing family life today: screens.

Yoto has launched a brand-new Disney and Pixar Toy Story 5 Yoto Card, bringing the latest adventure from the much-loved Toy Story gang to children as a screen-free audio experience.

Perfectly timed for families starting to think about Christmas gifts, the new release gives children the chance to enjoy the Toy Story 5 adventure without sitting in front of another screen.

Toy Story meets technology

There’s a particularly clever connection between the new Yoto release and the story itself.

In Toy Story 5, Jessie has become Bonnie’s favourite toy – until Bonnie’s parents introduce a smart tablet called Lilypad.

As Bonnie becomes increasingly absorbed by her new screen, Jessie turns to an old friend for help: Woody.

Meanwhile, there’s even more trouble brewing as 50 defective high-tech Buzz Lightyear action figures set off on a mission to march on Star Command.

The result is a story that explores what happens when traditional toys and imaginative play come face-to-face with modern technology.

Toy Story 5 – without the screen

The new Toy Story 5 Yoto Card retells the film across 10 short chapters, making it easy for younger listeners to enjoy the adventure a little at a time.

Produced by Disney and Pixar and presented by Yoto, the approximately one-hour audio adventure features single-voice narration alongside original music and sound effects.

It’s recommended for children aged 3–8 years.

The new release joins six other Toy Story titles already available in Yoto’s library, giving young fans plenty of opportunities to join Woody, Buzz, Jessie and their friends on more adventures.

Encouraging children to use their imaginations

The release also taps into something many parents will recognise – trying to find ways to entertain children without always reaching for a tablet, television or phone.

Listening to stories can give children an opportunity to slow down and use their own imaginations to create the characters, settings and action in their minds.

And with Toy Story 5 itself exploring the relationship between toys, technology and screens, listening to the story through audio feels particularly appropriate.

Yoto Content Director Jess Tarrant said the story connects closely with what the company hears from parents, with families looking for ways to encourage children to slow down, listen and use their imaginations.

A Christmas gift for Toy Story fans

At £9.99, the Toy Story 5 Yoto Card could also make a handy stocking filler or Christmas gift for children who already own a Yoto.

It’s compatible with all Yoto players, including the Yoto Player 4th Gen and Yoto Mini 4th Gen, as well as the free Yoto App.

So if you’ve got a little Woody, Buzz or Jessie fan at home, this could be one to add to the Christmas list.

Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 Yoto Card is available now from Yoto, priced at £9.99.
