Marvel fans were treated to an update this morning (Thursday 7 August) with news that filming for the new Spiderman movie, ‘Brand New Day’ has been extended in Glasgow.
Downtown New York has taken over Bothwell Street in the city centre for the next instalment of the web-slinger’s story released July 2026.
The blockbuster film, officially titled, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and staring actor Tom Holland began filming on Friday 1 August.
Marvel fans have been gathering at the filming location eagerly trying to spot a glimpse of the action which includes stunts, car chases, explosions and of course, Spiderman himself flying through the streets of Glasgow.
On Sunday (3 August) fans were amazed when Tom Holland, who plays the hero, made an appearance and stopped to interact with fans.
The movie will also star his real-life girlfriend Zendaya, and star Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.
Filming for the blockbuster was due to finish on August 15 however, extra dates and road closures have since been announced.
